WELCOME TO MY DIGITAL SELF.

COME ALONG FOR THE RIDE.

The most powerful four words in

the world are

“Tell me a Story”.

This is not so much an artist statement as a confession: I am not an artist; I am a storyteller wearing the skin of an artist.

Don’t worry. She won’t miss it.

I come from a long line of teachers, entertainers, raconteurs and storytellers. Naturally my personal work stems from American oral storytelling traditions. It reflects the power of communication of one person to another be it through voice, body, visual, or tactile means. When I create I am trying to tell you something. I could just give you the facts, dry and solid like a sailor’s biscuit, or I can embellish a little.

I create needed objects, societal mirrors, portals to new worlds, modern rituals, and unusual treasure maps.

These can look like jewellery, objects, weavings, clothing, woodwork, prints, paintings, poetry, theater, rituals, and art books in a variety of media and dimensions. To do this I will use anything to hand that creates the language. Metals, plastics, fabricated pieces, jewels, office supplies, old letters, bones, game pieces, medical supplies, and whatever else might fall within arm’s reach. I will manipulate time.

I will use the very air you breathe.

Most importantly, I can make you part of the story. You make it your own and tell it as only you can. Then someone tells it yet again. This is how our memories become real, and our stories become legend. Once upon a time we shared a story, and then we told it together.
